What was their crime, you ask?
To be born a woman in a part of globe
where the greed and monstrosity of men has eaten any little humanity residing in them.
Snatched off their books,
Silenced off their voice?
Why? ‘Cause they were women
That was their only crime.
“Why do you do all this?” We ask
“We are just following our religion.”
They say innocently.
“Following your religion
or following your egos?”
We reply.
They just shrug and let it pass,
Blindfolded by their greeds.
