First of all, thanks for clicking the link, really means a lot.
The title, I know sounds a bit out there right? But I decided to talk about something which I feel is really crucial.
Now we all hear news like: “Muslim terrorists.”
Now these two words often go hand in hand, don’t they?
Recently when the news about Pahalgam, Kashmir rose, it broke my heart.
I started questioning: did God really tell us to kill the non Muslims? Is God really that cruel?
The 2025 Pahalgam attack, also referred to as the 2025 Pahalgam massacre, was an Islamist terrorist attack on tourists by at least three armed terrorists near Pahalgam in India’s Jammu and Kashmir in which 26 civilians were killed on 22 April 2025. The militants targeted Hindu tourists, though a Christian tourist and a local Muslim pony ride operator were also killed.[7][8][9]

Even now, reading this gave me goosebumps. I can’t even imagine the state of the people who were actually present there.
When I see terrorists saying “Allahu Akbar” and killing innocents, is that what God wants us to do?
“Allahu Akbar” means God is Great
That’s when I decided to not let people dictate what my religion is and instead enlighten myself with what God really says.
That’s when I picked up the Quran, to not just read it but understand it, to know the literal meaning of the texts written in Arabic.
Over time, I found a sense of comfort in reading the God’s words.
And I found the answer to my question.
Qur’an 5:32:
“Whoever kills a soul… it is as if he has killed all of mankind. And whoever saves a soul, it is as if he has saved all of mankind.”
Qur’an 2:190
“Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.”
These are some verses I came across, and I haven’t finished reading the meaning of the whole Quran yet.
So when I hear about Islamic terrorist,
I ask myself- Do we worship the same God?
And the answer is No.
People who choose the kill innocents in the name of religion, don’t even deserve to be called humans.
They are purely monsters driven by their hatred.
Before ending: I wanna share a personal experience.
When I was in 6th grade, it was my first time in India and I was the only Muslim in my class. I faced a bit of discrimination from my teacher. I was once even called a Pakistani. Being so young, I couldn’t even grasp the depth of it. But over time, things did get better. I remember once when I was going to leave that school in 9th grade, my best friend of that time came and told me that before she met me, she thought all Muslims were bad but now she doesn’t think the same. ( if you’re reading this, thanks.. I’ll never forget you even though we don’t talk like before.)
That one sentence will stay with me for ever.
This was a very personal blog and I just felt like sharing with y’all. I don’t really have personal talks with anyone cause I don’t know how to.
But this is one of them!
Thanks for reading till here!🌺
Really means a lot 💗
Until next time!
