Like a dandelion you flew right in,
I tried to hold, yet you kept yourself hidden,
Wanting to escape and fly away, out of reach,
A lesson they had forgotten to teach.
Like a flower you bloomed right in,
The fragrance so strong, always pulled me within.
I longed to pluck it to keep it close,
But it grew so beautiful, I let it go.

It’s been so long since I’ve written a poem. So thanks a lot for reading the poem.
Hope y’all like it!
Through this poem I wanted to say that not everything beautiful is meant to be kept.
Some people enter our lives to teach us how to truly love someone or something without holding on too tight.
Letting go.. doesn’t always mean it’s a loss… sometimes it’s a need, though it might not feel like it in the beginning.
I read a quote once and it said:
“If you truly admired a flower, you’d not want to pluck it but you’d want it to bloom beautifully.”
Honestly isn’t this what love is? True form of love!
I’ve learned that some connections are not meant to be owned but to be experienced. They teach you restraint, acceptance and gentleness. Sure, at first there will be anger but later acceptance follows and that, my dear friends, is the last stage of grief.
So this is for the ones who walked in softly, stayed briefly, and left quietly, Thankyou!
Thanks for reading!
Until next timeđź’—
