Recently, I was talking with my non medico friend about my college and they were like:
“bro it sounds so cool”
I laughed and probably from the outside it does.
But then I remembered something.
A year ago, I was posted in the Paediatric Hematology-Oncology ward.
To us, it was another case presentation. Another history to take. Another examination. Another discussion with the professor about diagnosis and management.
But for their family…
It’s their child, their entire world.
But I won’t lie, the smiles those kids carried made me wonder if these kids despite suffering from cancer still manage to smile then why can’t we too?
It also made me question: Why did God give them this? Those kids didn’t even commit any sins. Why did God do this?
I remember, the maam asked me “Why did you choose this elective?”
“I like kids and that’s why I chose this” was my reply.
But then I realised this field is not for someone who likes kids.

These are some memories.
So grass is always greener on the other side!
Thanks y’all
Until next time♥️
